BRIEF

Previously we did a fantastic loft conversion in this beautiful property, and now we are back to renovate the ground floor. We are building a new side extension to create a utility room, plus a boot room. Inside we are opening up the space to create a wrap around kitchen dining space. Originally there was a large downstairs bathroom taking up a big space, and by removing (and shrinking and relocating it) it allows for a much better downstairs floor plan.

START OF PROJECT

  • Previously we did a loft conversion in this beautiful property, and now we are back to renovate the ground floor
  • Large sliding doors will replace these french doors
  • The walls have been removed to open up this space into a kitchen/diner
  • The downstairs bathroom has been dismantled and this corner will now connect the new kitchen and dining room.

  • The new floor plan showing opened up kitchen and dining room, plus the new extension rooms.

MIDWAY THROUGH PROJECT

  • The side elevation showing the existing sized windows and doors before we knock through
  • French doors to be replaced in due course
  • The new extension roof has been built
  • The doorway is being widened ad sliding doors to be fitted

  • Once widened a steel lintel will be inserted to take the weight of the new roof, and also the wider doorway for the sliding doors
  • At the end of the new extension is a new porch, with a low wall and small windows into the boot-room behind
  • This is the new extension freshly built showing the roof lanterns
  • Roof lights/lanterns will flood the rooms below with light (bootroom, utility, bathroom)
  • Inside the space is coming together with doorways filled in, and all traces of past rooms being removed
  • Inside the extension the rooms are being partitioned off (boot room, utility, bathroom)
